At the time, Bolands Mill was constructed without compromise, using the highest spec materials the Class 40 association rules allowed. Epoxy, E-Glass fibre on foam core sandwich. All bulkheads have been epoxy glued in place along with stringers and structural components.
Another major plus point is she was built from female moulds to obtain a lightweight and fair hull and then finished in a matt paint to promote weight reduction even further. She has recently had a new mast and rigging fitted – this as well as having done very little mileage makes her even more competitive on the racing circle.
Her first outing was a successful campaign by Ian Munslouw in the Route Du Rhum placing an impressive 3rd. She has been lightly used since then by her current owner and has been stored under cover in a winterised condition ready for her new owner to take her away.
