GUYOT ENVIRONNEMENT (Ex-Hugo Boss 6 ; Ex-11th Hour Racing) – Available in spring 2025 after the Vendée Globe (post-refit).
The IMOCA Hugo Boss was designed by the duo VPLP-Verdier, and built by Green Marine in Southampton (UK) in 2015 for Alex Thomson. From its first participation on the Vendée Globe 2016-2017 the boat achieved outstanding performances and results with a second place.
In 2019, 11th Hour Racing purchased it in preparation of The Ocean Race, and later used it as a prototype for performance measurement. The boat received a new pair of foils, improving the behavior and performance.
In 2021, Benjamin Dutreux acquired the boat and raced under the Guyot Environnement – Water Family banner. After major modifications, he took part in several races with strong results over 2022. In early 2023, the team engaged the boat on The Ocean Race. A major refit and outstanding optimizations were performed on summer 2023 based on the lessons learnt from the race.
Today, Eole Racing performs continuous improvement in all areas of the IMOCA in Les Sables d’Olonne to remain competitive with the new generation of boats on the Vendée Globe 2024.
